Résumé

L'étude de la reproduction et du cycle de développement de certaines populations des deux espèces jumelles P. nigra et P. tenuis a permis de déterminer leur taux intrinsèque d'accroissement naturel. Par rapport aux trois espèces rhéophiles précédemment examinées, celui-ci révèle chez ces Planaires limnophiles, d'une part une eurythermie plus grande et d'autre part une capacité reproductrice plus élevée en milieu stagnant. Ces propriétés semblent être en relation avec les conditions d'habitat des animaux.

Abstract

The reproduction and life-cycles of certain populations of these two species were studied and their intrinsic rate of natural increase computed. They were found to be more eurythermous and to possess a greater reproductive capacity in stagnant water than the three rheophilous Triclads which were previously examined. Some relationships appear between these features and the conditions prevailing in the animais' habitat.

Das Studium von Reproduktion und Lebenszyklus ermöglichte es, die artspezifïsche Größe des natürlichen Wachstums zu bestimmen. Im Vergleich zu den drei früher untersuchten rheophilen Arten, sind diese limnophilen Planarien eurytherm und außerdem in stehendem Wasser von höherer Vermehrungsfähigkeit. Diese Eigenschaften stehen mit den Bedingungen, wie sie am natürlichen Habitat vorherrschen, in Beziehung.
