The soda dominated subsaline astatic sodic pans are a unique type of continental saline waters, with limited number of geographical occurrence all around the World. This is the first comprehensive study targeting ionic composition (8 main ions) of natural astatic soda pans in the Carpathian Basin at the western border of their Eurasian range.
