Tightly cell-bound extracellular polysaccharides (TB-EPS) enhanced colony formation of Microcystis aeruginosa NIES-843, which is strictly related to buoyancy. Microscope observation shows the colony induced by TB-EPS likes wild Microcystis. Temperature and light affected colony formation and buoyancy.
