Effect of sample size on habitat suitability estimation using random forests: a case of bluegill, Lepomis macrochirus

This study revealed the influence of sample size on habitat suitability plot by random forest combined with partial dependence plot. Furthermore, we proposed a novel approach “averaged habitat suitability plot”, which enables us to assess habitat suitability even with a small sample size.
